Offering support for every wave of grief

Support Programming Designed for You

Tides programs are offered free of charge to grieving individuals in central Pennsylvania. This is made possible through the generous financial support of foundations, corporations, organizations and individuals. See below for more information on each of our grief support programs.

Tides Night

Tides Night is peer-to-peer grief support. We help individuals of all ages journey through their individual healing process after the death of a loved one.

School Programming

School Programming is a 6-week grief support program designed for students in grades K-12 who reside in Centre County.

Grief Education & Training

Tides offers Grief Education for professionals in our local community who work directly with individuals and families who have experienced loss.

Community Crisis Support

Community Crisis Support is one of Tides’ fastest growing programs. This service is offered throughout Centre County to schools, organizations and businesses that have experienced a death in their immediate community. Programming includes a visit from a Tides Grief Support Specialist within 24 hours (or at the requested time of the organization) to meet with leadership and determine a plan on how to best support the group.

This programming often involves students, including children and teens. Tides staff meet specifically with those directly impacted by the death as well as provide group grief support for those who need help processing the death, whether impacted directly or indirectly. Additionally, Tides provides tangible resources, including offering each participant a Bag of Hope. Bags of Hope include various resources and coping materials for students and faculty/staff to take home, use and share with their family, as well as an invitation to Tides Night.

Community Crisis Support often yields new participants in other programs such as Tides Night, School Programming and Grief Education.
